Where photos come from
Every photograph on the site comes from licensed or publicly available source material:
- TripAdvisor Content API: official photos hosted by TripAdvisor, used under their API terms with required attribution.
- Google Places API: official photos pulled via Google's licensed Places API.
- Resort marketing sites: for some properties we display photos from the resort's own marketing pages, where the resort has made them publicly available.
Each photo card on the site includes an attribution line showing the source. If a copyright holder believes a photo should be removed, see "Corrections & takedowns" below.
Where reviews come from
Guest review excerpts are quoted from public TripAdvisor and Google Places listings. Each review card on the site is labelled with its source ("via TripAdvisor" or "via Google Places") and links back to the original where possible.
We never publish a review without attribution, and we never alter the wording.
How editorial summaries are written
The short tagline, "Why travelers love it" paragraph, beach & pool descriptions, dining overview, priority-fit guidance, and room categories, room descriptions and the rooms overview are AI-assisted summaries.
They're built from the same source material listed above: resort metadata, public source material, review evidence, resort websites, and available media. The summaries are AI-assisted and should not be treated as proof that ResortFinder personally stayed at each property. Every take is grounded in source evidence and framed as booking guidance rather than a precise score.
How profile card guidance is displayed: each lens is grouped by how much it should shape the booking decision:
- Reasons to book: factors strong enough to help choose the resort, sometimes with a concise badge such as Reason to bookor Good fit.
- Not a deciding factor: useful context that should not drive the booking decision on its own.
- Watchouts: caveats to read before booking, highlighted only when the label helps the decision.
Badges are intentionally sparse. Lower-priority cards use plain sentences instead of extra labels, so the profile page does not ask you to decode multiple scoring systems.
Why this matters: the summaries are derived from real review evidence, not thin air. But they're also not guarantees. Resorts change, and any synthesis can miss nuance. Always confirm specifics in the booking tool, with an advisor, supplier, or resort before relying on a detail.
Why not just write them ourselves? We will, over time. AI assistance lets us offer thorough editorial treatment for every resort in our catalog from the start, while still being clear that final conditions should be verified before booking.
What we don't do
- We don't accept payment for placement. No "sponsored" or "featured" badges paid by resorts.
- We don't write fake reviews or testimonials.
- We don't sell or share your data with the resorts you research.
- We don't run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels.
Corrections & takedowns
If you spot:
- A factual error in an editorial summary
- A photo we shouldn't be displaying
- A review excerpt that's been misattributed
- Out-of-date information (renovation, ownership change, closure)
Email hello@resortfinder.co with the resort URL and a description. We review every report, process takedown requests promptly, and fold factual corrections into the ongoing editorial refresh cycle.
For resort owners & PR teams
If you represent a resort and want to:
- Update factual info (room count, restaurants, amenities)
- Submit official high-resolution photos
- Flag a planned closure or renovation period
Email us at hello@resortfinder.co. We're happy to refresh an editorial pass with better source material.
